Upon graduating from UCSI University, he has performed in various venues and private functions and the biggest stages he has performed includes being part of the band for the opening act of Fiji Blue in KL back in 2022 and also local festivals such as Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival (MJPF), Royal Selangor Jazz Festival, KL Chinatown Festival and even being the house band for the 19th BOH Cameronian Arts Awards.

By learning from the bests in local music industry, Zhi Wei has developed an even stronger passion and deeper understanding for music and his strong suits on the piano are playing songs of Jazz, RnB and Pop. He has also a fairly decent experience in music scoring/ music transcription.

Currently, Zhi Wei is a session musician/ educator and the pianist of the jazz band he founded in 2023, Boys That Swing. While he constantly challenges and pushes his boundaries to upgrade his skills, he is open to any opportunity that comes his way.
